Customisable recipes are tagged with a badge on the recipe images that reads ‘Customisable’. To customise, simply click on the recipe image or on the ‘+’ icon, as you normally would when choosing a recipe. A list will pop up with the different options available for that dish, so you simply scroll down and choose. Later, your custom choice will appear under the name of the dish at the checkout, so you can see the preference you’ve chosen there as well.
There are currently four ways to customise recipes:
Choose a different protein. Instead of, say, the original beef used in a recipe, you’ll be given a few other protein options for the same dish; for example you might swap beef for either chicken, tofu or fish.
Upgrade your protein. Maybe a recipe features basa fish, but you’d rather have salmon fillets. Or you’d prefer porterhouse steak instead of beef rump. Now you can choose!
Speed up your cooking. This customisation allows you to choose ingredients like microwavable rice, so prep times are faster and cooking is even easier.
Make a dish healthier. This customisation allows you to choose ingredients such as lettuce cups instead of wraps, or cauliflower rice instead of jasmine rice.
